India arrested two men and seized 7 kg of Uranium. These two dangerous men were arrested in western Maharashtra state.
Officials said. " On Thursday, Indian police arrested two man with 7 kg of uranium in western Maharashtra state for "illegal possession" of this highly radioactive material.
According to Maharashtra team this material is worth about $2.9 million dollars and the case is under investigation.
"We received information from someone that a person whose name is Jigar Pandey is going to sell the pieces of Uranium substances. We prepared a plan. A trap was laid to arrest the Culprit and he was arrested Maharashtra police said.
Further investigation into the care revealed that another person whose name is Abu Tahir gave him this Uranium.
This is the second incident in which Indian police has seized a large quantity of Uranium substances. This material is a threat to human life in the country.
.According to a local news agency. In 2016,Indian police seized nearly 9 kg (19.8 lbs) of depleted uranium in the Maharashtra Thane area. Uranium is used in many areas, ,including nuclear explosives and medical technology.
